Belton Man Arrested After Confessing to Sexual Assault of a Child

Ronald Justin Grunst, of Belton is being held in the Bell County Jail after he confessed to sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl on at least two occasions.

Grunst, 30, told police in a written confession that he assaulted the victim in the Lake Belton area in June and in Temple in August after he failed a polygraph test on September 25.

The district attorney’s office issued a complaint against Grunst following an investigation by the Bell County Sheriff's Department Special Crimes Unit, and he was taken into custody Monday on a charge of sexual assault of a child. He is currently being held on $25,000 bail.
