See the Pictures From Jamie’s Hike Through Miller Springs in Belton
Easter Sunday was beautiful throughout Central Texas, and for my family it gave us a chance to get away on a camping trip with our new camper. It also gave us a chance to do something we haven't done in three or four years; Take a family hike. It's difficult to get the family to put down their tablets & phones long enough to have a conversation, much less getting two hours to go on a hike. Miller Springs in Belton took us through so many different landscapes I just had to share the pictures with you.
Logan worked up enough courage to peek over the edge of Belton Dam.

Photo by me. I've driven over Belton Dam a thousand times, but I've never looked over the side to see this beautiful part of Central Texas.

Photo by me. Tyler enjoying our Easter hike complete with his teen Bible.

Photo by me. Logan the shepherd.

Photo by me. A couple turtles getting some sun atop a tree trunk. The water is rippling from a few turtles diving underwater after hearing our loud clan coming toward them.

Photo by me. Believe it or not, this picture was taken inside a tree looking upward. I'm glad there weren't eyes staring back at me when I looked at this picture later. I just held the camera inside the tree and snapped the picture, not knowing if I was about to awaken a colony of bees or bats.

Photo by me. Logan plays peek-a-boo through the hollow tree.

Photo by me. Here's the hollow tree from the outside.

Photo by me. It's not exactly Niagara or Angel Falls, but it's still a beautiful site in Central Texas.

Photo by me. Like father, like son. Logan and I are ready for the road ahead with walking sticks in hand.

Photo by me. An Easter selfie.
