Hey Gang,

Well, a new survey came out about drinking, and it turns out Texas doesn’t even rank.  What kind of survey about drinking would not include kick-ass Texans?  That would be a people to bars ratio.  There’s just too many Texans to make this survey, but, my old stomping ground is hanging out at number one.

It seems that the upper Midwest has a lot of bars.  They say that the only thing to do during the harsh winters is to fornicate and drink, not necessarily in that order.  Well it turns out that one of those options is pretty popular in public.

The top states in the category of bars in cities and states to the number of people who live there include Montana, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Wyoming, and, coming in at number one…North Dakota.  That’s right, the state that was relegated to a graveyard in the movie “Escape from New York” has a bar for every 1,621 people.

The fewest bars per capita goes to Virginia, who has a bar for every 64.773 people.  My God, think how long it would take to get a drink order filled.
