Temple Officer Struck by Vehicle, Driver Arrested

Late Saturday a Temple police officer was hit by a car and was taken to Scott & White Medical Center for non-fatal injuries.

The officer, whose name has yet to be released, was outside of her patrol vehicle investigating a car accident in the 5400 block of I-35 South at 11:58 p.m., according to KWTX.

A white Cadillac struck her and the driver of the vehicle was arrested under the suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The drivers identity was not immediately released.
